Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donation

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donation

Over the course of the year, we receive a few returns of merchandise. Most of the time our wonderful customers just need a different color or style and the returns are put back into our inventory where they wait for their “forever home”. Every once in a while, the packaging gets a little messed up, or maybe one piece gets separated from the rest of the pack and then we no longer like to sell it to our customers.

Charity is a part of our DNA.

What do we do with these? Because charity is a part of our DNA, we’ve made it a point to donate these inspected items to local organizations that can use them. Girl Scout camps and veteran’s assistance charities have been past recipients. This month, we are supporting a group of local high school students who are raising funds to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We donated several hundred dollars’ worth of Sticky Toffee towels, dish cloths, table runners and placemats to them for a garage sale they organized. They gathered all kinds of merchandise for the sale, priced it themselves, and all put together raised an  additional $1700 for their cause.
